Bobby Leaber, CPO started Adaptive Prosthetics and Orthotics, LLC in 1998 to bring the many recent advancements and techniques in prosthetics and orthotics to the Bayou Region. He opened Adaptive’s location in Houma, La behind Terrebonne General Medical Center on 808 Belanger Street in 2010. Followed by our new location in Thibodaux, La close to Thibodaux High School on 1208 Louise Street in 2019.
Throughout Adaptive’s years, Bobby has been on the forefront of education, technology, product development, and growth. From 2015-2017, Bobby was a member of Vistage, the world’s largest executive coaching organization for small businesses. Learning strategies from a vast range of experience, insight, and wisdom from other business leaders so he could make the right business decisions so Adaptive patients could receive better results. He continued his passion for technology and research by introducing new devices to South Louisiana. In 2001, Bobby began developing the 4SN1 (Four Systems in One) to help benefit patients and their practitioners by being able to switch socket systems without remaking the socket. Followed by fitting the first Otto Bock C-Leg Microprocessor Knee Unit in 2004 and development projects like the DVS System and the Adaptive Flex Boot. Today, he continues to grow Adaptive Prosthetics and Orthotics by adding new team members to our locations. Adaptive is an approved residency and intern site, where he can welcome students to learn the industry and get advanced clinical training.
Bobby has been practicing as a Prosthetist and Orthotist since 1998. He has been providing patients with extensive guidance and detailed devices to accommodate their individual needs. He takes pride in having a business patients and medical facilities within the community can rely on and delivering quality care.
In his spare time, Bobby enjoys supporting his son’s extracurricular activities, watching LSU football, and spending time with family.
